Andrew M. Harwood P.L.S., is a 1971 graduate of the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn (B.S. degree) and the State University of New York Alfred (AAS Land Surveying). Andrew joined Harwood & Harwood, P.C. on a full time basis in January 1971. Up until February 1985, he progressively advanced through the ranks as instrument man and party chief. During this period, his duties and responsibilities also included drafting, calculating, checking, verifying, doing research and preparing deed descriptions. During this time, Andrew became intimately familiar with and responsible for every aspect of all phases of surveying in New York City. After proving his abilities and becoming licensed, in February 1985, Mr. Harwood became Vice-President of Harwood & Harwood. Andrew's responsibilities at that time included: direct supervision of all field surveys and their quality control. On December 1, 1988, Mr. Harwood Became President of Harwood-Goldberg Surveying & Engineering Associates P.C., His primary duties were expanded to include quality control, procedural methodology, legal interpretations and the supervision and checking of all surveys as well as all aspects required in their generation. On January 20, 1994, Mr. Harwood bought all assets of Harwood-Goldberg, P.C., discontinued the firm's Engineering Department, and formed the corporation of Harwood Surveying PC dedicated exclusively to Surveying. His duties, as president, remain approximately the same.
Shane Harwood is a 2002 graduate from Carnegie Mellon University with a M.S. Degree in Logic and Computation, a B.S. in both Theoretical Mathematics and Economics, and a minor concentration in Computer Science. He has worked at Harwood Surveying in a part time capacity since he was a boy. In 2003, Shane joined the firm on a full time basis. Shane currently serves as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Engineer.
